This 14-Year-Old Catcher Only Has One Arm and He’s Still a Beast
Luke Terry is a 14-year-old eighth-grader at Cornersville Middle School in Lewisburg, Tennessee. He is the catcher on the baseball team and he only has one arm.
When Terry was 19 months old, he contracted E. coli. The bacterial infection attacked his arm, which needed to be amputated. According to The Tennessean, Terry flatlined three times on the operating table.

Having one arm has not stopped Terry from participating in “normal” kid activities. He hunts, works on his family’s farm and even plays video games. But maybe the most impressive thing he does is play baseball.
Terry isn’t a sympathetic addition to the roster. The kid can play. He has an amazing technique. After he catches the pitch, Terry tosses the ball up and drops his glove in one motion. After he catches the ball, he throws it back to the pitcher or in the same motion to catch a baserunner trying to steal.
Big shout out to Cornersville’s middle school catcher. With the use of one arm, this guy is getting it done. What a stud. pic.twitter.com/4rhPycFGyY

Not only is he a great catcher, Terry also bats third.

“He’s amazing. He’s good. He’s as quick as anyone around. He’s real quick,” teammate Logan Courtemanche told The Tennessean.
Terry is an inspiration, even if he doesn’t think so.
“I don’t even think about it,” he said of playing without his right arm. “Fans tell me, ‘You’re an inspiration.’ They want me to go a long ways.”
