This Incredible Flying Sack From Alabama’s Jonathan Allen Belongs in a Superhero Movie
In the midst of Alabama’s 33-14 victory over Texas A&M on Saturday, Crimson Tide defensive lineman Jonathan Allen briefly morphed into something not quite human. In the first half, with Texas A&M facing a third and long, quarterback Trevor Knight took the snap, only to stare in terror as something resembling Superman came flying toward him.

Allen sidestepped the left guard with an expert swim move, dove into the air to avoid a chip block from the running back, and soared through the atmosphere before wrapping Knight in his arms and slamming him to the ground. It was honestly one of the most amazing and breathtaking sacks we’ve ever seen, and it deserves a second look.
It was Allen’s sixth sack of the season in a game in which he also grabbed a fumble and returned it 30 yards for a touchdown after a botched handoff between Knight and his running back. Jonathan Allen, the Crimson Tide Superman.
