Garrett Shrader couldn’t lead Mississippi State to a victory over Kansas State on Saturday, but he gets an A for effort.
With the clock dwindling down and Kansas State clinging to a 7-point lead, Shrader rolled out on a fourth-and-long. With no receivers open downfield, the freshman quarterback decided to run for it.

The loss was Mississippi State’s first of the season, while Kansas State improved to 3-0.
