T.I. Reveals Features for "Trouble Man: Heavy Is the Head"
T.I. will release his eighth studio album, Trouble Man: Heavy Is The Head, on Dec. 18, via Grand Hustle/Atlantic Records. (Listening to music can improve your workout. LeBron James listens to T.I. What do you listen to?)
The southern rapper confirmed the news during an interview on BET’s “106 and Park” back in September, telling the host, “Trouble Man is coming on Dec. 18; we’ve actually settled on that. I’m proud of all the material that’s on there. I think I’m gearing up to present a classic album, because that’s the material that people deserve.” But it wasn’t until early last week that the cover art, track listing, and features were revealed.
The Grand Hustle leader collaborates with newcomers Meek Mill and A$AP Rocky; veteran rappers Lil Wayne and Andre 3000; and several singers, including Cee Lo Green, Akon, and P!nk. P!nk is featured on the track “Guns and Roses.” Production-wise, Tip linked with Rico Love, Jazze Pha, T-Minus, DJ Toomp, and Pharrell Williams, among others.
The promotional single “Love This Life” did not make the final cut; however other singles “Go Get It,” “Ball,” and “Trap Back Jumpin'” are featured on the album. Thus far, the MC has announced two new singles for release off the album: “Sorry,” featuring Andre 3000, and “Hello,” featuring Cee-Lo Green. The former will be available (exclusively on iTunes) on Nov. 27 and the latter on Dec. 11. Fans can also pick up a podcast of “Meet The Musician” on Dec. 4.
