Last week, trailers were released for Wolfenstein and The Evil Within; new DLC was announced for Titanfall; and Microsoft revealed what the upcoming Xbox One patch will address.
New Trailer Released for ‘Wolfenstein’
A new gameplay trailer has been released for Wolfenstein: The New Order. Check it out below! The clip provides a glimpse of what a post-World War II world would have been like if the Nazis had won and gained global domination. Soccer referees for instance would be—unruly.
Protagonist B.J. Blazkowicz, the sole remaining Jew in 1960s Europe, and a few others, create an underground resistance bent on bringing down the Nazi regime. They have quite a battle ahead of them. Thankfully, the single-player shooter offers plenty of weapons to help gamers overtake the Nazis.
The New Order arrives May 20 for PS3, Xbox 360, PC, PS4 and Xbox One. Pre-ordering the title will get you beta access to the forthcoming Doom.

Titanfall “Expedition” Coming in May
Respawn announced Titanfall‘s first DLC during their PAX East panel.
“Expedition” is a three-map pack. “Swampland” is set in the remains of archaic alien technology and filled with trees; “Runoff” features water; and “Wargames” provides a training area for titan pilots. It is free to Season Pass holders and $9.99 for everyone else.
The developer also revealed it is working on free updates that will introduce new burn cards and multiplayer modes; prototyping a single-player mode; working on customization options; creating “rifts or variants” in existing modes; and planning to incorporate hash tags to make it easier to link up with friends.
Xbox One Update Will Target Blu-ray Support and More
Xbox One’s April update will bring a few improvements. It will add 50Hz video output support to the Blu-ray player and the app, and update the firmware for the headset adapter and controller to reduce audio static and improve wireless connectivity. Also, after the patch, the console will be able to reboot itself after system updates.
The patch will also introduce a new notification bar, which will reveal the progress of your game saves and alert you when your favorites and friends log on to the system.
Check Out Gameplay in “The Evil Within”
A new trailer has been released for The Evil Within. The clip gives gamers a glimpse of protagonist Sebastian Castellanos’s world, including a villain called Boxman and various locations, including an unsettling field of flowers set against a blood orange sky. The plot picks up after Castellanos and a few other officers are sent to Beacon Mental Hospital to investigate a rash of murders. After the others are slaughtered, Castellanos awakens to find various horrors, most of which are trying to kill him.
Early reviews of the demo at PAX East were not exactly glowing. But we aren’t ready to bet against creator Shinji Mikami just yet. The Evil Within will be released Aug. 26.
