Tom Brady Installed a ‘Countdown To Super Bowl LI’ Clock in His House 12 Months Ago
Tom Brady wants to win Super Bowls.
Nothing else will do.
So after the New England Patriots fell to the Denver Broncos during last year’s AFC Championship Game, Brady decided his home gym needed a new addition—a clock that counted down the exact number of seconds left until Super Bowl LI.
Brady’s father, Tom Brady Sr., recently told The Washington Post that the clock was installed so Brady knew “he had exactly 11,325 minutes and 14 seconds until [the next Super Bowl].”
Brady Sr. revealed more details on the clock to CSNNE earlier this year.
“[Tom has] a countdown clock in his gym that is now ticking to next year’s Super Bowl. It’s clicking, yes. And he is still doing his two-a-days. So this passion comes from a whole bunch of hard work, and the hard work is driven by the passion,” Brady Sr. said.
Most guys take a vacation once they get knocked out of the playoffs. Tom Brady instantly sets his sights on his next chance at a Lombardi Trophy. Even after all he’s accomplished, Brady still sets goals for himself and goes after them with ferocious intensity. That’s why he might eventually go down as the greatest quarterback in NFL history.
We have a feeling the clock will start counting down to Super Bowl 52 almost immediately after the conclusion of Super Bowl 51—regardless of whether Brady and the Patriots walk away victorious.
