Tom Brady Signs With Under Armour
For New England Patriots QB Tom Brady, the 2010 season has been extremely eventful so far. He came into camp uncertain about the health of his favorite target, Wes Welker. Next, he lost his main deep threat, Randy Moss, in a trade that sent the wide receiver to the Minnesota Vikings [and then on to the Titans]. Last, although not quite football-related, his new hairstyle made him a fixture in gossip columns. Yet in spite of all this, Brady is performing at MVP levels, leading a versatile Patriots offense that’s become one of the most potent in the NFL.
Now the celebrity QB has joined forces with Under Armour, in a move that should benefit both.
The company will outfit Brady with the latest UA apparel and footwear; he will also debut a new Armour Fierce cleat. Kevin Plank, founder and CEO of Under Armour, said, “Tom Brady represents a lot of what Under Armour is all about. He’s humble and hungry, and continues to be focused on winning and getting better every single day. We’re proud to have him in our brand as he continues to re-write the NFL record books.”
Brady, a three-time Super Bowl champion, league MVP and owner of multiple records, joins ranks with Anquan Boldin and Miles Austin, both of whom recently signed with Under Armour.
“It was important for me to align with a brand that shares my values and helps me perform at my best,” Brady said. “Under Armour makes cutting-edge products for the next generation and for athletes who compete at the highest level.”
Look for Brady to continue his impressive season on the field, but now sporting Under Armour’s performance apparel and footwear.
