Trevor Story is a human being who plays baseball for the Colorado Rockies. What he did to a baseball last night in the bottom of the 4th inning was distinctively un-human.
We KNOW you haven't heard this Story before!!

Story mashed a home run into the Denver air with the sort of sound that's usually reserved for when a log pops in your fireplace. The baseball did not land for a very long time, and when it finally did, it settled in 505 feet away from home plate. That is not a typo.
Story's homer now ranks as the longest home run ever tracked by StatCast, which debuted its tracking technology in 2015. It was Story's 30th jack of the year, but it may end up being the most memorable of his entire career.
