U Want Me 2 Kill Him?, based on true events, tells the story of a high school student whose online girlfriend is murdered by her real life boyfriend. Mark, a popular 16-year-old who seems to have everything going for him, is deeply infatuated with Rachel, a girl he chats with online every day. Mark is so devoted to Rachel, she can ask him for just about anything. She convinces him to hang out with her loner brother, John, who is constantly targeted by bullies. Unlikely friends, Mark and John become an unstoppable team, vowing revenge when Rachel is murdered by her abusive boyfriend.
The film features an impressive lineup of young British actors. Jamie Blackley (The Fifth Estate) stars as Mark. John is played by Toby Regbo (Reign). In the part of Rachel is Jaime Winstone (Wild Bill). The cast also includes Amy Wren (Wuthering Heights) and Downtown Abbey's Joanne Froggatt as Detective Inspector Sarah Clayton.
Andrew Douglas, best known for directing 2005's The Amityville Horror, directed the film. The screenplay was written by Mike Walden, who recently wrote another crime drama, the TV movie, Open Doors.
U Want Me 2 Kill Him? hits U.S. theaters in limited release March 14, 2014.
