UFC Undisputed 3 Cover Athlete Announced, STACK's Exclusive Coverage of UFC 137
These are exciting times in the world of UFC. After more than 120,000 votes from across the globe, Anderson “The Spider” Silva won the right to grace the cover of the upcoming UFC Undisputed 3 video game (read more about the UFC Undisputed 3 cover vote).
UFC Undisputed 3
The next edition of the hit MMA game is expected to come with a plethora of gameplay updates. The developers at THQ added “Pride Mode,” a brand new submission system, and KO animations for use by the 150+ fighters on the roster. When you’re in the cage, you will learn new ground positions and how to set up submissions using the cage itself.
UFC Undisputed 3 has all the makings of a can’t-miss video game, and “The Spider” is truly a deserving cover athlete.
We’re also excited to announce that STACK will be in Las Vegas at the end of the month to test the game, plus view a welterweight bout between B.J. Penn and Nick Diaz. We also hope to get a look at legendary fighter Mirko Cro Cop in his fight.
UFC 137: B.J. Penn vs. Nick Diaz
On Oct. 29, Diaz will head into Las Vegas with an impressive record (25-7-1) and a profile of elite athleticism and well-rounded discipline. But Penn, former lightweight and welterweight champion (he’s only the second UFC fighter to win in two different classes) has redemption on his mind and will look to add another win to his 16-7-1 record. The two are evenly matched at around 170 pounds, but Diaz’s 6’1” frame might give him an advantage over Penn’s 5’9” stature. Regardless of the outcome, many are expecting UFC 137 to blow fans away. STACKletes: tune in for a glimpse at just how far athleticism, training and mental toughness can take the human body.
