‘Ultimate Fighter’ Finale Gets New Headliner and Women’s Event
After Ultimate Fighter 17 scheduled headliner Demetrious Johnson got injured, UFC president Dana White announced that the April 13 event will now be headlined by Urijah Faber, fresh off his UFC 157 win, and Scott Jorgensen. The event will also feature a female battle between Miesha Tate and Cat Zingano.
The clash between Tate and Zingano will be the UFC’s second fight in its recently established women’s division, after Ronda Rousey defeated Liz Carmouche last Saturday. Tate, the former Strikeforce champion, will have her hands full against rising fighter Zingano, the current Ring of Fire women’s champion.
You can watch the finale live at the Mandalay Bay Events Center in Las Vegas, or catch it on FX April 13.
