Warner Bros. Announces 10 DC Movies, Including 'Cyborg' and 'Green Lantern'

Warner Bros. recently announced 10 upcoming DC films, 3 Lego movies and 3 'Harry Potter' spinoffs.

Warner Bros. recently announced plans to release no fewer than 10 DC films, three Harry Potter spinoffs and three Lego-branded films, all of which are currently in the works. According to CEO Kevin Tuijihara, these projects will be released between 2016 and 2020.

The studio also confirmed that they are planning Batman and Superman standalones.

Here are the 10 DC movies:

  • Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, directed by Zack Snyder (2016)
  • Suicide Squad, directed by David Ayer (2016)
  • Wonder Woman, starring Gal Gadot (2017)
  • Justice League Part One, directed by Snyder, featuring Ben Affleck, Henry Cavill and Amy Adams reprising their roles (2017)
  • The Flash, starring Ezra Miller(2018)
  • Aquaman, starring Jason Momoa (2018)
  • Shazam, starring Dwayne Johnson as Black Adam, as confirmed by Johnson (2019)
  • Justice League Part Two, directed by Zack Snyder (2019)
  • Cyborg, starring Ray Fisher (2020)
  • Green Lantern (2020)

The studio also confirmed that they are planning Batman and Superman standalones.

Next up are the Lego movies, originally announced by The Hollywood Reporter and including:

  • Ninjago, directed by Charlie Bean (2016)
  • The Lego Batman Movie (2017)
  • The Lego Movie 2 (2018)

Last but certainly not least: the Harry Potter spinoffs, to be based on J.K. Rowling's novella, Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them. The first movie, scheduled for release Nov. 18, 2016, takes its name from the novella and marks Rowling's long awaited screenwriting debut. Helming Fantastic Beasts will be David Yates, who directed four Harry Potter films. Titles of the other two movies have not yet been announced, but the second installment will be released in 2018 and the third in 2020.

In a press release, Tuijihara stated, "I can't remember a time when I've felt more confident about our future. We're committed to maintaining and enhancing the great legacy of Warner Bros., the world's most iconic and profitable studio."
