WATCH: Charles Barkley Hilariously Fails at Speaking Spanish
In 2011, TNT basketball analyst Charles Barkley said he wanted to learn how to speak Spanish. It’s 2016, and Sir Charles has made little progress.
During Wednesday night’s episode of Inside the NBA, Barkley’s Spanish-speaking skills were put to the test. The former Round Mound of Rebound knows a few words, but when called to put together a sentence, he failed miserably. And it’s pretty hilarious.

Barkley successfully translates churro, a Spanish fried dough pastry. Churro in Spanish translates to churro in English. Easy enough for the NBA legend.
But as the test progressed, Barkley started to show signs of struggle. He was challenged with the word “guapo,” which means “handsome” in English. After he incorrectly guessed the translation, it was basically all downhill from there.
