The Golden State Warriors lost to the Oklahoma City Thunder 133-105 on Sunday night in Game 3 of the Western Conference Finals, going down 2-1 in the series. The Thunder annihilated the defending champs, playing aggressive defense and getting quick fast break buckets.
The Warriors weren’t the only ones in pain, however. Thunder big man Steven Adams took a painful blow below the belt from Warriors star Draymond Green during the second quarter, falling to the court in obvious discomfort.
It was the second time in the series that Green has kicked Adams in the groin. The first incident happened in Game 2. Green received a flagrant 1 foul for the kick in Game 3.
The Warriors star said the kick was unintentional, and he didn’t see how anyone could think it was intentional. But Green could face suspension for what he claims was an inadvertent kick. Cleveland Cavaliers player Dahntay Jones was suspended one game for a similar action against Toronto Raptors center Bismack Biyombo during Game 3 of their Eastern Conference Finals series.
