Boston Red Sox first baseman Hanley Ramirez doesn't only protect the first base bag, he also protects the dirt surrounding it.
During the Red Sox game against the Oakland Athletics on Monday night, Athletics left fielder Coco Crisp dug his cleats into Ramirez's first-base dirt, perhaps preparing to steal second base.
Ramirez was unhappy about Crisp messing with his dirt and proceeded to repair the damage.
The Red Sox beat the A's 14-7, and Ramirez got the better of Crisp in the Battle of the Dirt.
