Miami Heat coach Erik Spoelstra had many things to be disappointed about Thursday night. The Heat lost to the Toronto Raptors 96-92 in overtime, missing an opportunity to take a commanding 2-0 lead in the Eastern Conference semifinal series. They committed 21 turnovers and seemed to lack a sense of urgency during portions of the game.

But what made Spoelstra most livid was when Luol Deng almost failed to make a simple inbound pass. Josh Richardson was wide open to receive the pass, but Deng seemed oblivious, causing his coach to jump up and down like a child throwing a temper tantrum in a grocery store.

It worked.
