Watch Mountain Bikers Ride an Impossible Course at the 2016 Red Bull Rampage

The world’s best mountain bikers are descending on Virgin, Utah, for the 2016 Red Bull Rampage.
Not familiar? Well, it’s intense and you should probably check it out.
Red Bull Rampage is a downhill mountain bike competition where 21 of the best riders in the world battle to bring home the grand prize.
But this isn’t just any hill. I was given a preview of the course today and it looked terrifying. The drop is ridiculously steep, and the following course is mind-numbingly narrow. One mistake and a rider could end up in a deep ravine.
View from the top of the Red Bull Rampage course.
Yet the competitors, including the legendary Darren Berrecloth, will attempt to crush the course at high speed and execute jumps and tricks to earn as many style points as possible during the downhill run—similar to freestyle skiing and snowboarding. Each rider can ride his own line on the course to personalize his run and maximize his individual points.
Not only is it a test of skill, it’s a test of grit.
Red Bull Rampage is already sold out, but you can watch it live on Red Bull TV on Oct. 14 at 12:30 p.m. EST.
