WATCH: Shirtless Man on a Bicycle Interrupts Nate Robinson’s Interview, Challenges Him to a Game of 1-On-1
With his dream of playing in the NFL on hold, Nate Robinson has gone back to the sport he’s always loved—basketball. The veteran guard who can jump a mile in the air was last seen on a basketball court in two games for the New Orleans Pelicans at the beginning of this NBA season. After a brief hiatus, Robinson traveled to Israel to join Hapoel Tel Aviv, where he promptly dropped 25 points in his first game.
Robinson instantly became the most recognizable and famous person on Hapeol, which means he’s not safe from being accosted out on the streets, even when he’s in the middle of an interview in a remote park. While Robinson was chatting with a local media outlet, a shirtless man casually rode his bike into the middle of the shot.
“What’s up, Nate?” the man asked, as an incredulous Robinson tried to figure out what was going on. But this wasn’t just a random fan strolling by to say hello. Shirtless Man quickly challenged Robinson to a game of one-on-one, possibly for money. Then he listed the names of players he claimed already to have beaten, one of whom sounded like former Los Angeles Laker Jordan Farmar.
Robinson, unshaken, agreed, and Shirtless Man rode off into the sunset, but not before uttering one more piece of trash talk from afar.
“I’ll kick your a** Nate!” he yelled, sending Robinson into a fit of laughter.
Basketball in Israel sounds like fun. Stay tuned for the results of this highly anticipated matchup between Shirtless Man and Nate Robinson.
