Watch the ‘Honey Badger’ Make the Sickest Interception of Training Camp
Remember how Tyrann Mathieu recently said he was the best player in the world?
While you may or may not agree with the Honey Badger’s assessment, he’s right to be brimming with confidence. Mathieu’s reportedly been an unstoppable force during Arizona Cardinals training camp, racking up interceptions at an astonishing rate:
Tyrann Mathieu had three or four interceptions in practice. “He’s back,” Arians said.

Bruce Arians said Tyrann Mathieu had another pick-six in practice today. I’m sensing a theme here.

Mathieu recently took to Instagram to showcase some of his highlights from yesterday’s practice. Said highlights included one of the best interceptions we’ve ever seen:

Ridiculous. That play took outstanding agility, athleticism and instincts. Had the 5-foot-9 Mathieu hesitated for a half-second longer, that ball would’ve been over his head and into the receiver’s hands.
There’s reason to believe 2017 may be Honey Badger’s best season to date. He suffered a torn ACL in December of 2015 (his second in a three-year span) that hampered him throughout the 2016 season. He also dealt with shoulder issues in 2016, further limiting his effectiveness. But Mathieu looks to be back to full strength, and he’s still just 25 years old. “Any time I’m healthy I feel like I’m the best defensive player in the NFL,” Mathieu told NFL.com in July.
