The strongman nicknamed “Thor” just posted a video to his Instagram showing him Bench Pressing 517 pounds. Yes, you read that right. Besides lifting the weight of 2-1/2 baby elephants, he does it twice and makes it look so easy.
But that’s not his only set. He posted another video in which he benched 440 pounds eight times—not as much weight, but eight times? He is a monster.

Normally, people with longer arms struggle to get up heavier weight, but “The Mountain” got help from Australian strength coach Sebastian Oreb to perfect his form. You can see in the videos that Hafthór sets his feet so he can drive his legs into the ground and generate momentum to help press the bar off his chest.
