WATCH: ‘The Mountain’ From ‘Game of Thrones’ Got a New Puppy That Must Be Terrified of His Enormous Hands
Hafþór Júlíus Björnsson, the 6-foot-9, 400-pound pro strongman competitor and actor who plays “The Mountain” on Game of Thrones, usually posts pictures of himself picking up and carrying gigantic, heavy objects. Like when he deadlifted 974 pounds, or when he pressed a 418-pound log over his head and said it felt light.
In this case, the object “The Mountain” is lifting probably weighs in at about two pounds. It’s his brand new furball of a friend, Ástríkur, who appears to be a Pomeranian puppy. The man is clearly not in need of a large dog to protect him, so why not get a pet that can fit in the palm of his hand?
You can see the size discrepancy between master and dog in the Instagram post below, as “The Mountain” pits his little puppy against a stuffed lion in a wrestling match. We doubt that anyone will tease Björnsson for getting a fluffy little dog, but if that does occur, we hope someone is recording it on video.
