Watch UNC QB Mitch Trubisky Hang Clean 325 Pounds and Then Lose His Mind
If North Carolina’s Mitch Trubisky decides to enter the NFL Draft after the Tar Heels take on Stanford in the Hyundai Sun Bowl, he will most likely be a top-10 pick. ESPN draftnick Mel Kiper has Trubisky rated as the best quarterback in the 2017 Draft, as does his smaller, blonder cohort Todd McShay. In his first full season as UNC’s starting QB, Trubisky threw for 3,468 yards and 28 touchdowns, and completed 68.9 percent of his passes.

Trubisky isn’t just a beast in cleats and a helmet though. The dude can throw some weight around. As he prepared to take on Stanford on Dec. 30, Trubisky took some time to Hang Clean a cool 325 pounds in the weight room, much to the delight of his teammates—and himself. Putting up 325 isn’t setting any kind of record, but it’s a heck of a lot for a dude who plays quarterback.
All signs point toward Trubisky’s college career coming to an end, and whatever NFL team drafts him will be getting a beast on the field and off.
