The 33-year-old was held out of the Colts’ first pre-season game last week against the Buffalo Bills. Coaches are cautious about playing their starters because of the fear of injury. Well, Gore wants to play in the Colts’ next pre-season game—and he’s looking forward to getting hit.

“You want to get out there and get hit. Maybe you’ll break one. You never know. I really just want to get hit and go to the ground,” Gore said, via the Indianapolis Star. Gore obviously misses contact. At 5-foot-9, 215 pounds, he’s always been one of the toughest running backs in the NFL.
Gore says it’s not just about getting hit, but also about getting some plays in with the offensive line. Whatever his reason, you’ve got to be some type of crazy to want to get hit by NFL players.
