Wii U Release Date Rapidly Approaching
The rumor mill is spinning at max speed with talk of the Wii U’s release date. Nintendo introduced their newest gaming console at last year’s Electronic Entertainment Expo, but they deliberately neglected to include a release date. With the rumor mill a-spinnin’, it seems likely the release date is rapidly approaching.
According to the gaming site, Gamesrader.com, on Sept. 13 in New York City, Nintendo will host an event to—most likely—announce a definitive release date and price for their mysterious new console. While the purpose for the event remains unconfirmed, it seems likely Gamesrader.com’s assumptions are correct, since chain stores like Gamestop have announced the Nov. 14 release of 14 new Wii U games.
It seems that Nintendo intends to publicize the release date for the Wii U at the NYC event to kick-start enthusiasm for their new system as the holiday season approaches. It certainly should benefit the company to ignite gamers’ excitement by spreading the word.
