New Wii U Update Will Improve Load Times
Great news for Wii U owners. Nintendo has announced an update that promises to dramatically improve load times. Nintendo’s president, Satoru Iwata, acknowledged the system’s slow loading times in a Nintendo Direct broadcast and promised two Wii U updates, both with faster load times and new features.
Wii U users have complained that the load time is especially slow when returning to the Wii U menu, sometimes taking as long as 20 seconds. The update promises to lower this to 9 seconds. To find out how much faster the system will be after the update, check out the video Nintendo released last week.

Nintendo has not yet revealed any other changes the updates will bring, although the company did mention that gamers can expect a firmware update this summer, and both updates will include features that improve playability.
