For many pro athletes and teams, rap is the pre-game music of choice. Tennessee Titans RB Chris Johnson names Lil' Wayne as the number one artist who gets him hyped. Indiana Pacers G-F Dahntay Jones' pre-game playlist is dedicated exclusively to Jay-Z. And these pro athletes share their love of rap before big showdowns.
Now Troy Polamalu and the rest of the Steelers have a new contender for their pre-game playlists. In September, rapper Wiz Khalifa released a new single, "Black and Yellow." A Pittsburgh native, Khalifa wrote the song with his city in mind, calling it "one that's gonna be real big for Pittsburgh. It's gonna be the Steelers' anthem."
Is Khalifa on track to become the artist for Pittsburgh, like Jay-Z is for New York or Weezy for New Orleans? Let us know what you think in the Comments.
