Have You Tried Sculpt Fusion Yoga?
Every day, yoga studios seem to be advertising a new discipline. In recent years, we’ve seen everything from bikram to hatha to vinyasa yoga. But as an athlete, you want the best workout possible, not just a relaxing hour of stretching. One recent option, called Sculpt Fusion Yoga, combines the best elements of several yoga disciplines with cardio work and weightlifting for an intense, athletic workout.
Sculpt Fusion Yoga
What is Sculpt Fusion Yoga?
Yoga Sculpt Fusion, which mixes yoga with weights, provides a workout designed to tone and sculpt the entire body. Depending on the yoga studio, either free weights or body bars are provided and used in conjunction with familiar yoga poses. To add an element from bikram yoga, the studio is typically heated to about 95 degrees.
What are the Benefits of Sculpt Fusion Yoga?
Yoga Sculpt Fusion is designed to provide more conditioning for athletes by mixing in bursts of aerobic activity with traditional strength and flexibility poses. The cardio sections, combined with weights, provide an intense workout and a massive metabolism boost. And thanks to the heated room, by the end of a 60-minute class, there is not a single dry body in the room. (So be sure to hydrate properly during and after the class!)
Although Yoga Sculpt Fusion is a fairly new discipline, it is currently being offered in studios across the country. Contact a studio near you to learn more about this athletic yoga option.
