Zaza Pachulia Currently Has More All-Star Votes Than Anthony Davis, Kawhi Leonard and Jimmy Butler
When a team is really good, they’re more likely to attract bandwagon fans. When fans vote for players to play in the NBA All-Star Game, they’re highly likely to vote for players from their favorite team.
Those two dynamics have resulted in Golden State Warriors center Zaza Pachulia receiving more votes than all but seven NBA players:

That just ain’t right. Pachulia’s a fine player, but he’s currently averaging 5.2 points, 5.8 rebounds and .5 blocks per game. All-Star numbers, those are not.
Zaza Pachulia has more NBA All-Star votes than K-Love, Melo, Jimmy Butler, D-Wade, DeMar DeRozan, Kawhi, Anthony Davis and Draymond Green.

Fan voting doesn’t close until Jan. 16, so there’s still a chance Zaza won’t get in. If he does, it will be the first All-Star selection of his 13-year NBA career.
