Last month, a handful of NFL prospects training at STACK Velocity Sports Performance in Irvine, California got an exclusive look at the Reebok ZPUMP Fusion training shoe before it hit the market.
Draft prospects Cam McDaniel, Aaron Bradley and Nic Demski put the shoe to the test during an intense lower-body workout session. The group also gave the shoe a run in the 40-Yard Dash and 20-Yard Shuttle.
“I think the PUMP is a very comfortable shoe,” said McDaniel, the running back from Notre Dame. “I think it’ll be great for straight-line speed, and you’ll be able to use it functionally for lifts and workouts.”
Bradley, a wide receiver from Ohio University, said the ZPUMP Fusion shoes are “definitely lighter than my cross-trainers.”
The air-fit technology of the ZPUMP is built into a seamless fit sleeve that keeps the foot locked in to the bio-enhanced sole. Simply put, the ZPUMP provides a custom fit for a better grip.
Demski, a wide receiver from the University of Manitoba in Canada, said, “You feel good balance and stability with the PUMP.”
