LeBron James Reveals His Dream 3-On-3 Teammates

There's a lot of talk about 3-on-3 basketball these days. The BIG3, an eight-team league featuring former NBA players, is set to kick off on June 25. Late last week, it was announced that 3-on-3 hoops will make its debut as an Olympic sport beginning in 2020. With 3-on-3 on everyone's minds, it only made sense to ask the current best player on the planet who his dream squad would be.

It didn't take LeBron James long to announce who he'd pick to be on his team. He told the Associated Press that Magic Johnson and Michael Jordan would be his ideal teammates (both in their prime, of course), and if someone ever invents time travel and allows that team to really happen, you might as well not even hold the tournament. Those three would wreak so much havoc that the court might shake and split beneath them.

LeBron was careful not to disclose what current NBA players he'd want to team with, lest it lead to unnecessary headlines ahead of Game 5 of the NBA Finals, and he even went so far as to say he doesn't even think he'd be very good playing 3-on-3, squelching any chance we'd see him participate in 2020.

"I'm not very good in a 3-on-3 thing. I'm more of a 5-on-5 guy," LeBron told the AP. "I stay out of the 1-on-1 matchups during our practice, the 2-on-2 and the 3-on-3s. So probably not. I probably won't be a part of the 3-on-3 matchup."

That's debatable, but LeBron did say he's excited to see the competition come to fruition during the Summer Olympics in Tokyo. For now, we can only dream of what a team comprised of Michael, Magic and LeBron would be able to do on a basketball court.
