NFL WR Andrew Hawkins Just Earned His Ivy League Master's Degree With a 4.0 GPA

NFL free agent wide receiver Andrew Hawkins was cut by the Cleveland Browns in February, but he has remained busy. Over the weekend, Hawkins graduated from Columbia University and received his Master's Degree.

For the past two years, Hawkins has been taking classes at the Ivy League school during the offseason to achieve his master's in sports management. Being cut by the Browns was not ideal, but it allowed the 5-foot-7 receiver to complete his last semester as a full-time student and graduate with a 4.0 GPA.

It's uncertain whether Hawkins, now 31, will play in the NFL again, but according to, his ultimate goal is to become an NFL general manager.

Hawkins had 33 catches, 324 yards and three touchdowns for the Browns last season.
