David LaPlaca

David LaPlaca has over seven years of experience as a strength and conditioning coach. He's worked on the NCAA Division I FBS, Division I FCS, and the Division III levels as well as with the private sector, where he has worked with over 20 different sports and professional athletes, including the Canadian Women’s Soccer team, Sky Blue FC, Philadelphia Soul, and Philadelphia Wings. David earned his PhD in Kinesiology with a cognate in nutrition from the University of Georgia, where his dissertation is titled “The Characteristics that Differentiate Expert, Competent, and Beginner Strength and Conditioning Coaches.” He is a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) and Registered Strength and Conditioning Coach (RSCC) through the NSCA, a Level 1 Sport Performance Coach certified through USA Weightlifting (USAW), a Level 1 Certified Functional Strength Coach (CFSC) through Mike Boyle Strength and Conditioning (MBSC), a Performance Enhancement Specialist (PES) and Fitness Nutrition Specialist (FNS) through NASM, and a Level 1 Track & Field Coach by USA Track & Field (USATF). He has earned certification through Functional Movement Systems in the FMS Level 1 and Y Balance Test, and has earned a Level 1 Certificate in Exercise Nutrition by Precision Nutrition (Pn1).
