Growing up in southern California near the Pacific Ocean, Jane Chung found surfing a natural fit. She began surfing at a young age, taking to the board and water immediately. Also an accomplished pianist, she has been invited to perform s a guest soloist with numerous city orchestras. Chung graduated from the University of California San Diego with a bachelor's degree in biochemistry/cell biology and a minor in music. She attended St. George's University School of Medicine, where she obtained her doctorate degree. She completed her pediatric residency at Louisiana State University's Children's Hospital in New Orleans. Currently board-certified in Pediatrics, Chung is completing a sports medicine fellowship at Rainbow Babies and Children's Hospital in Cleveland. She continues to be active in many sports.
