Nick Winkelman is the Director of Training Systems and Education at EXOS (formerly Athletes' Performance), where he oversees mentorship education courses and serves as a full-time strength and conditioning coach. He has a diverse coaching background within the sports performance field, working with NFL Combine preparers, tactical athletes, fire fighters and many others. He worked with the Oregon State baseball team that won the 2006 College World Series, and he was the strength coach for the Pittsburgh Pirates Rookie League team in Bradenton, Florida. During his time in Florida, Winkelman trained under Aaron Mattes, an internationally acclaimed stretching authority and creator of the Active Isolated Stretching (AIS) technique. He is currently completing his doctorate in Motor Learning and Skill Acquisition at the Rocky Mountain University of Health Professionals (Provo, Utah).
