Migos’ Offset Involved in Jail Brawl
Rapper Offset, one-third of the Atlanta-based rap group Migos, picked up another felony last week due to his involvement in a brawl inside the Bulloch County jail. According to the sheriff’s office, the performer got into a tangle with another inmate and left the victim with a “visible injury to the right side of the head.” The fight was caught on video. Offset was charged with battery and causing a riot in a penal institution.
The rapper has been in jail since mid-April after a crime suppression team arrested him, Migos bandmates Quavo and Takeoff, and their entourage during a concert at Georgia Southern University. Quavo and Takeoff were released on $10,000 bond. However, due to his past convictions, Offset was held without bond. He returned to court last week, but in light of the most recent violent act, he was again denied bond.
Chris Brown Encounters Naked Female Intruder
Chris Brown returned to his Agoura Hills, California home on May 6 to find a naked female intruder in his bed. According to TMZ, the 21-year-old woman had spray-painted “I love you” on his kitchen counter and “Mrs. Brown” on his Rolls Royce and Range Rover.
Brown revealed a pic of the young woman and wrote about the experience on Instagram. “She had broken the hinges off the doors. She found time to cook [herself] several meals…,” wrote the singer. “She threw out my daughter’s clothing as well as my dog’s stuff. Then had all these crazy voodoo things around my crib.”
The woman was arrested and charged with felony burglary, stalking and vandalism. A judge ordered her to remain at least 100 yards away from Brown. She is currently still behind bars.
ILoveMakonnen’s Twitter Hacked; Drake Attacked
ILoveMakonnen’s Twitter was recently hacked, making it seem like the Atlanta-based performer was upset at Drake for appearing on Fetty Wap’s latest single “My Way” and leaving him “in the cold.”
The hacker also lashed out at singer Rihanna, blasting her for not appearing on Makonnen’s latest mixtape, Drink More Water 5. The singer/rapper eventually noticed the unauthorized tweets, deleted them and notified fans, writing, “Some crazy s*** just happened here. Got hacked. But all is good now.”
Snoop Dogg Bashed by Texas DPS Director
Snoop Dogg took a seemingly innocent picture with a state trooper during off-time at the South by Southwest music festival back in March. The trooper, Billy Spears, was off-duty and working the event as security. However, in light of the rapper’s legal troubles, the picture, which Snoop posted on Instagram, did not go over well with the trooper’s bosses, and Spears was reprimanded.
Spears is now suing the department. His attorney recently obtained emails related to the picture via open records laws. In the communications is a message sent by Texas Department of Public Safety Director Steve McCraw, who lambasts Snoop as a “dope-smoking cop hater.”
Of Trooper Spears, McCraw wrote, “Apparently he would rather work the convention while on a week’s vacation to earn additional money rather than take an additional tour on the border. He must not understand that he was being lampooned by a dope-smoking cop hater, which reflects very poorly on the department.”
Spears is seeking an unspecified amount in damages.
