WATCH: Shaq Lip Syncs ‘Maniac’ From ‘Flashdance’
Shaquille O’Neal has driven Buicks, demonstrated the wonderful benefits of Gold Bond lotion, promoted Icy Hot, a common pain reliever for use among athletes, and appeared in comedy movies such as Grown Ups 2.
Bottom line: O’Neal loves to entertain, and he didn’t disappoint when he performed “Maniac” from the 1983 movie Flashdance on the TV show Lip Sync Battle. The four-time NBA champ sported a wig reminiscent of the one worn in the movie by Alex Owens, played by actress Jennifer Beals.
The video is a preview for the episode that will air Thursday in which The Big Aristotle will face off against actress Aisha Tyler.
O’Neal moves pretty well in the video, shimmying from side to side with the dancers in the background. He’s his usual jovial self, but this time he’s lip-syncing a classic song from the 1980s.
As the NBA analyst prepares his acceptance speech for his induction into the Hall of Fame in September, expect it to be fun and entertaining.
