5-Foot-9 Cavs Rookie Kay Felder Was Completely Shocked the First Time He Threw Down a Dunk
When you stand 5-foot-9, you’re not supposed to be able to dunk, much less catch an alley-oop and finish with authority. But the laws of physics don’t apply to Cleveland Cavaliers rookie point guard Kay Felder, who possess a ridiculous 44-inch vertical leap and has been dunking since he was in the 10th grade.

Still, the owner of some of the most ridiculous hops in the NBA was absolutely shocked the first time he threw down a dunk.
It was during practice at Pershing High School in Detroit. “I told my teammate, ‘Give me an oop,'” Felder told STACK. “I didn’t think I was going to dunk it, but once I dunked it, it was like, weird. Ever since then I’ve been dunking.”
Hearing Felder talk about his first dunk makes it seem like the former Oakland University point guard is still in awe of his ability to float above the rim. We certainly are, too.
