Bump, Set and Spike to Perfection With Volleyball1on1
High school volleyball season is coming to an end, so unless your team made it to the big dance, it’s time to either get ready for club play or plan for next year. Either way, if you’re looking to gain an edge on your opponents, Volleyball1on1.com is an excellent resource, for both players and coaches.
The founder of Volleyball1on1, Andor Gyulai, is a former NCAA champion at UCLA. He created the website for one reason: to enable anyone to become a top volleyball player.
“[When I was] a kid growing up in South Africa, there wasn’t great coaching, [so] I’d go to people and try to learn what I could and learn the techniques. [But my] form was terrible,” Gyulai says. “With Volleyball1on1, my goal was to create a place where we have the best volleyball players and coaches in the world at one place.”
Similar to STACK’s approach—”For the Athlete, By the Athlete”—Volleyball1on1 is all about delivering the best training info and advice from top professionals and coaches. From NCAA champions to Olympic coaches to pro beach volleyball players, every contributor shares his or her training secrets to help players get to the next level.
The only downside is the $20 monthly membership fee for complete access to everything on the site. However, nonpaying members can access several videos and blog posts for free—e.g., the training video on middle spiking techniques. For more free training videos, visit Volleyball1on1’s YouTube channel.
