Today marks a new era for the iconic sportswear brand Li-Ning. Digital Li-Ning, a joint venture between the Li-Ning Company and Acquity Group, announced the launch of its website li-ning.com, which brings the sportswear brand to the U.S. The site will showcase Li-Ning products across three core categories—basketball, fitness and running—offering gear for athletes and sports enthusiasts.
Having featured several models of Li-Ning basketball sneakers in the past, we have always been impressed with their craftsmanship, in terms of both style and performance. We're excited to see what's ahead for the brand.
Founded in 1989 by Mr. Li Ning, a world-renowned gymnast who won six medals in the 1984 Olympic Games, the company has grown to become a publicly traded, premier sports entity with more than 8,000 retail stores. Digital Li-Ning represents a new strand of the company's marketing effort in the U.S.
Craig Heisner, vice president for marketing and merchandising for Digital Li-Ning, told STACK, "We're looking forward to bringing the Li-Ning brand to the U.S. consumer. Building off a strong foundation, our product line will continue to evolve with both inline and unique limited edition products across running, basketball and fitness.
