Late Tuesday night, “Drizzy” Drake gave his fans a treat by dropping his new single, “Draft Day.” The song samples Lauryn Hill’s “Doo-Wop (That Thing)” and immediately name-drops Johnny Manziel, who apparently has an OVO tattoo on his wrist, and fellow Toronto native Andrew Wiggins.

Drake raps, “Draft day, Johnny Manziel / Five years later how am I the man still? / Draft day, A. Wiggins”—likening Manziel’s and Wiggins’ current positions on the brink of going pro to “five years” ago, when he was first coming up on the music scene.
Draft Day.

Listen to the song here.
Throughout the song, Drake goes in on Chance The Rapper and possibly Jay-Z or Kanye: “Just hits no misses, that’s for the married folks”; “They too worried ’bout…fashion, they go missin’ in action.” Drake also announces his affection for actress Jennifer Lawrence, proclaiming “On some Hunger Games s***, I would die for my district.” Generally though, he announces his awesomeness: “See whatever I say goes, I play like I’m on ‘roids, no Canseco / No Oakland A’s though,” (Drake’s talent is all natural).

Interestingly, Drake tops the song off with two sample voiceovers, one of Oklahoma State football coach Mike Gundy upset over some media coverage, and the second an impersonation of former Colorado State football coach Dan Hawkins answering a player’s mother’s request to extend summer break. Check them both out below.
