Getting your body in shape to run a marathon takes a lot of work. Normally, an average Joe wouldn’t wake up and say, “hey, I think I’m going to run a 50-mile race today.” But that changed since Jesse Weber, an inexperienced marathon runner, made a video about how not to run 50 miles.

Inspiring enough, he did finish the race, but that wasn’t the most impressive thing about his run. First, he ran the race wearing jean shorts and hiking boots. His reasoning behind the Daisy Dukes was, “Looking good is half the battle.” He’s not wrong about that.

Last, his hydration technique was unique—but probably not good. His drink of choice at water stops? Pabst Blue Ribbon. That’s right, not only did he drink beer during the race, he finished the race with one in his hand.
