Lil Wayne Disses Young Thug Again; Atlanta Stop Ends Violently
The Lil Wayne/Young Thug saga continues without a clear victor, unless of course you view Thugga’s paltry Barter 6 sales as the proverbial white flag. Last week, at a tour stop in Ohio, Wayne unleashed a few more lyrical darts aimed at his would-be successor.
While the beef has played out for the most part with random pot shots at concerts and weird video odes that border on creepy, things got a little too real during recent performances for both artists as they ventured into each other’s hometowns. The crowd filled Thug’s ill-advised performance in Weezy’s home state with boos. He continued his set despite the Southern University audience chanting “Wayne” and “Hollygrove,” and did his best to seem unaffected. Still his experience was better than Weezy’s. Unidentified perps riddled the Young Money rapper’s two tour buses with bullets following his performance at an Atlanta nightclub last week.
“Witnesses could only provide a limited description of the suspect vehicles. They were described as two white vehicles, possibly a Corvette-style vehicle and an SUV,” said Atlanta police spokeswoman Elizabeth Espy.
TMZ reports that the incident may be the result of a heated exchange Wayne had with some partygoers inside of the nightclub. Of course, there are whispers about Thug’s possible involvement. However, Lil Wayne has not publicly made a statement about the incident, and the investigation continues. Thankfully, no one was injured.
