Minutes After a Game 7 Loss, Victor Oladipo Texted His Trainer to Start Working Out Again
The 2017-2018 NBA season was a coming out party of sorts for Indiana Pacers guard Victor Oladipo. After toiling away in Orlando for the early part of his career, he was shipped to Oklahoma City in the wake of Kevin Durant’s departure and was never able to figure out how to truly play alongside Russell Westbrook. When he finally landed in Indiana this past summer, traded for another superstar in Paul George, he blossomed, helping the Pacers to the fifth seed in the NBA Playoffs and pushing the LeBron James-led Cleveland Cavaliers to a seventh game in their first-round playoff matchup.

A mere 10 minutes after the Pacers strolled off the court at Quicken Loans Arena, Oladipo texted his trainer David Alexander asking when they could start working again. The dude simply wants to be great.
The Pacers have a bright future ahead of them, and with Oladipo hellbent on reaching the peak of his abilities, Indiana should be bubbling with excitement for next season.
