RGIII Reviews the adidas adiZero 5-Star Mid Football Cleat
Back in January, adidas rolled out the 2012 edition of their top football cleat—the adiZero 5-Star Mid—at the U.S. Army All-American Bowl. Denver Bronco LB Von Miller and New Orleans Saints TE Jimmy Graham were on hand, as was Robert Griffin III, the former Baylor Bears QB who is projected number one or two selection in the 2012 NFL Draft.
RGIII has been working out in the adiZero 5-Star Mids (and lows). In the video above, he shares his thoughts on the 5-Star, including why he has an advantage over opponents when wearing the shoe.
adidas adiZero 5-Star Mid Details
RGIII loves the 5-Star’s lightness. With Sprintskin, a patented single-layer synthetic upper designed to reduce weight but not support, and internal TPU bands for increased stability during quick change of direction movements, the adiZero 5-Star Mid tips in at just 7.9 ounces. New Traxion technology, comprising the triangular stud shape of the cleats, provides superior grip without excessive stress on the pressure points of the feet. The studs are positioned to promote multi-directional movements and acceleration and to allow proper absorption and distribution upon impact.
The adidas adiZero 5-Star Mid is available in multiple colorways at adidas.com and other retailers for $115.
