Uma Thurman and Tim Roth (Selma) play an eccentric British con artist couple, Harriet and Peter Fox, who flee to Los Angeles to avoid paying poker game losses to a notorious gangster. To raise the cash to pay off the debt, Harriet and Peter approach Sidney (Fry), a former associate, who secretly sells their whereabouts to the gangster. Barnum is producing alongside Cassian Elwes (The Butler), J. C. Chandor (A Most Violent Year), and Dave Hansen (Elvis & Nixon).
The film is being directed by James Oakley, best known for the mystery thriller The Devil You Know. Oakley also co-wrote the screenplay for The Brits are Coming with collaborator Alex Michaelides.
