Tebow Links With Ludacris for Headphone Line
Ludacris’s company, Soul Electronics, has enlisted Tim Tebow to endorse two of their headphone lines. (Luda hopes Tebow endorses like he trains. Check him out getting after it during an Upper-Body Power-Building Circuit.)
The rapper and NFL quarterback announced the new headphones as well as their partnership during the 2013 International CES Conference earlier this year. The headphones will come in two models: the “Combat+” for athletes, and the “Jet” for casual listeners. The “Combat+” features noise canceling capabilities—broadening its appeal.
“I was so interested in having something comfortable I could practice on the field in before games,” explained Tebow. “So many headphones can feel good and sound great, but when you’re warming up, they fall off, and that is a big distraction. We came up with these Combat models to help you keep that focus. ” (Check out Tim Tebow’s NFL Off-Season Workout.)
“We have headphones for athletes who want to train and some for those who want to fly or even sleep,” he continued. “They are even great for moms who are doing the dishes and listening to their country or gospel music. Whoever you are, whatever you are doing, we have something that fits you.”
The quarterback even joked about the company’s choice to name the headphones “Jet,” given that he currently plays for the New York Jets. Amidst laughter, Tebow added, “It’s also called the Jet because it’s the executive line for people who fly across the country…and are flying in jets.”
Pricing for the headphones has yet to be released.
