Jeremy Irvine Stars in Dramatic Thriller ‘The World Made Straight’
British actor Jeremy Irvine (The Railway Man) stars as Travis, a rebellious young man at a crossroads, in the upcoming dramatic thriller The World Made Straight.
Based on the novel by bestselling author Ron Rash, the story is set in a rural and dangerous Appalachian community with a notoriously violent history involving a Civil War massacre. Described as a coming of age thriller, the movie follows Travis as he struggles to decide whether to continue down the dark path or try to change his life and make a new start.
The cast also includes film and TV actress Minka Kelly (Almost Human), Haley Joel Osment (Alpha House), Adelaide Clemens (The Great Gatsby) and veteran TV actor Noah Wyle, who is currently starring in the TV series The Librarians.
The film was directed by David Burris, best known as the executive producer of TV’s Survivor. The film adaptation and screenplay were written by Shane Danielsen (Errors of the Human Body).
Jeremy Irvine’s career is definitely on the rise. Several completed projects are slated for release in the near future, including The Woman in Black: Angel of Death, premiering early next year. So Irvine’s face is about to become very familiar to moviegoers.
Originally set to debut nationwide on Jan. 9, The World Made Straight was recently pushed back and is now being planned for release in February 2015.
