Rondo played the popular game with NBA legend Isiah Thomas on Tuesday, and Thomas, who had never played it before, had no chance to compete against the Kings guard.
In the video, Rondo surprisingly doesn’t spew any trash talk at Thomas. He is quiet, looking at potential moves that will lower the former Pistons guard’s spirit.
It was only after NBA TV analyst Greg Anthony chimed in that Rondo began to talk a little smack. Anthony said he could do better than Thomas, challenging Rondo to take back two moves so he could make his own move.
Rondo did go back two moves, but Anthony presumably lost the game, shocked by Rondo’s swift Connect Four skills.
Rondo averaged 11.7 assists per game this season, but he offered no assistance to Thomas, who in Rondo’s mind was doomed from the start.
