Here’s Your First Look at the 2015 NBA All-Star Uniforms
We’re in the midst of the NBA season, with Gerald Green throwing an alley-oop off the backboard to himself and Kevin Garnett pretending to bite Joakim Noah—so naturally we’re looking forward to the 2015 All-Star Game.
Inspired by classic uni’s of the past, the new uniforms from adidas bring an early 20th century feel to the jerseys, which is fitting since the game will be played in Madison Square Garden, the historic mecca of professional basketball.
The Eastern Conference All-Stars will don white uniforms with blue numbering outlined in red. The Western Conference All-Stars will rock black uniforms with red numbering outlined in blue. Each jersey features a series of five gray stars running down one side, representing NYC’s five boroughs.
“The NBA All-Star Game is a celebration of the host city and basketball culture, and this year we created our most detailed and sophisticated uniforms to date that pay homage to New York and All-Star weekend,” said adidas global basketball general manager Chris Grancio in a press release. “We took inspiration from all five boroughs, in addition to the rich basketball and cultural heritage of the city, to provide a memorable collection for players and fans.”
You can purchase your own All-Star outfit at nbastore.com beginning in January. Check out more pictures of the uniforms (and apparel) below.
