The struggles athletes face on the field are nothing compared to what an alarming number of women diagnosed with breast cancer continue to endure. The National Cancer Institute estimates that 12.2 percent of women born today will at some point in their lives be diagnosed with breast cancer. To continue raising awareness, adidas has released a line of pink adiZero 5-Star football cleats to be sold throughout October, which is Breast Cancer Awareness Month.
Several NFL stars will wear the pink 5-Stars throughout the month, including Bills running back C.J. Spiller.
Players can purchase a pair by using the following link: Breast Cancer Awareness adiZero. For every pair of pink adiZero 5-Star cleats sold, the fine folks at adidas will donate the entire purchase price to the National Breast Cancer Foundation.
